Here are a bunch of cell phone chargers. One by Sunwize can be set to multi voltage. If you have a car charger for your cell phone and IPod you can use a lot of these because they have a lighter plug on them and come with cords and attachments. Some of them do not all.

Call customer service of your current cell phone provider. Each of the main Cellular providers has a special department called the porting department. BTW the process of transfering an existing number to a new account from another provider is called porting.
Here they are going to need:
The name of the account of the cell phone number you want
The password " " " " " " " " "
The account number "" " " " " " " "
They will tell you to wait a day and your set.
Also before you call, make sure your account is active. They can't get his old phone number if he already closed the account with the other company. They can only get the account if the old account is still active.
It will take a day maybe a few days for the porting to complete.

Not on Verizon. Most cell phones either store text messages on the phone's internal memory or on the SIM card. Since Verizon is CDMA, it's going to be on the internal memory of the phone.
