I can get a new cell phone with 2 year contract from AT&T now or soon.
Should I wait a bit longer because better cell phones come out over the holidays?

it depends on how much you want a new phone. It doesn't sound like your current phone is broken, so if you don't have a problem with it then there's no real reason to go for a new one, waiting will only give you a bigger break on the price anyway.
