The U760 is the world's smallest EVDO USB modem, weighing less than an ounce and measuring just over two inches long. The U760 is compatible out of the box with desktops and notebooks with Type A USB ports and Microsoft XP, Microsoft Vista, Mac or Linux operating systems. It features an integrated microSD slot, capable of storing up to 8GB of files, videos or music with the use of a SD storage card (sold separately). The MC760 has an advanced internal dual band antenna system that includes diversity for enhanced performance on network fringe areas. The U760 is perfect for those seeking an extremely light, compact, plug-and-play USB modem to accompany their mobile lifestyle. And with the latest version of Sprint Mobile Broadband software, you can take advantage of the optional Sprint Navigation service.

The Novatel Ovation U760 also includes a MicroSD memory card slot on its side for adding up to 32 GB of additional memory.

The U760 modem is optimized for Sprint's Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) Revolution A (Rev. A) network, which provides average download speeds of 600 kilobits per second (kbps) to 1.4 megabits and average upload speeds of 350 to 500 kbps. When connecting within a Rev. A coverage area, the U727 can download a 1 MB email attachment in about 8 seconds and upload the same-sized file in less than 13 seconds.
