It's not fair..Like everyone I know has a cell phone,Meanwhile I dont have one.!!

Tell them it's necessary. You can call them when you get places, so they know you're okay. You could use it in emergencies. And you can text friends instead of tying up the house phone.

i feel you. everyone i see has a cell phone except me. reasons yo can give them is that you need it for emergencies, [obvious], or that everyone has one expect yourself. those are the only reasons i came up with. sorry if i didn't help! :P

I'm seventeen. I don't have a cell phone. By all means I should want one. I don't.
ReplyDeleteWhy? It's an electronic leash. Parents call and check up on you when you are otherwise engaged, and get mad when you don't answer. Same with friends; you are obligated to answer calls and texts.
It costs a lot of money, continually. A sofa costs money once. A cell phone costs every month.
Using "other kids have cell phones" is not a valid argument. It's like saying, "other kids use drugs, so I should be allowed to also."
Another invalid argument is that you need it for emergencies, unless of course you live in a rural area. If "everyone else" has a cell phone, they can call the ambulance, and the hospital can contact your parents. Its always better getting bad news from a third party anyway, because they are more calm and better able to relay the facts. At friends houses you can ask to borrow theirs... not a problem at all.
It takes up way too much of your time. Way too much... calling, texting, playing games... way too much time.
Trust me... a cell phone is not worth it.
ok when you go to the store ask them if they need anything then go AS FAR AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM THEM stay there for about 5 or 10 minutes then go to another spot do the same thing tell you are called on the intercome then go to them and u talk to them and say this is why i need a cell see if it works
