If you purchase a new iphone 4 or ipad that is already unlocked and has an older T-Mobile sim card. Then is sim is what you need. Simply call T-Mobile customer care once you receive the sim card at 800-937-8997 and ask them to change out your new sim card to the new micro sim. You just need to read the sim card number on the back of the sim that start with 8901...then insert the micro sim into your new phone.
If you want to use the Micro Sim with T-Mobile prepaid service you must already have an existing pre-paid account or purchase an activation code. This only include the sim only.
