Get the HTC Touch or the Blackberry curve at U.S cellular, There plans are cheaper and you get more minutes then at&t, Sprint, or Verizon. Text messaging with U.S. Cellular is only $ 20 for unlimited text messaging for your whole family or 15 for just you. Email plans for Blackberry's and Windows Mobile phones are 24.95 with a voice plan and 29.95 without a voice plan (I am pretty sure this is for all areas of the US because i didn't put my zip code in) They have great customer support as well. The only con is that you cant upgrade your phone unless you pay the FULL price of the phone you are wanting like in my area the Blackberry Curve is 80 dollars after mail in rebates but to upgrade to it after signing a two year contract you would have to pay the full price of $ 499.95, so if you do get U.S Cellular make sure you have insurance on your phone which is a additional 5 bucks. I hope this helps you!

What kind of prepaid cell phone only allows certain numbers?

Question by : What kind of prepaid cell phone only allows certain numbers?
For Christmas my brother is getting my nephew a prepaid cell phone. Since my brother's ex gets him every other weekend he wanted to make sure that his son can call or text him whenever he wants. My nephew is 11 and he is now responsible enough to take care of it as well as understand the rules my brother sets down for the phone. We have been researching cell phones but so far I cannot find one that would allow only certain numbers to be called. Does anyone know of a prepaid cell phone that would only allow my nephew to call my brother and other family members?

Yes, kajeet phones offer that. kajeet is prepaid, no contract service with free parental controls.

We have 3 kids with kajeet phones. You simply log into their account and add contacts into the Contact Manager. You can specify inbound and outbound numbers.

I highly recommend the service and right now they are offering free shipping and 15% off! Here's the coupon code I have.... Promo code 1115 www.kajeet.com/1115

Plans start at like $ 4.99
We have the $ 14.99 plans for our boys, It's unlimited text and 60 talk minutes.

GPS service is also available and might come in handy in your situation.

As far as service goes it depends on where you live. In New England I have found Verizon works the best. Friends of mine who have Sprint or T-Mobile tend to not have service when I do. As far as the phone itself goes, try to go to some cell phone company websites, they usually will give you a comparison tool for the phones. The phone you will buy is based on what provider you pick also, so ask people in your area how they feel about their coverage.

I'm looking for a new cell phone so I'm interested in hearing feedback. How much does it cost, and also how nice are the phones available? Just overall how happy are you with the service? Thanks!
