What's great for I-Phones would be just as great on the rest of cell phones. How long do you think it will be before we can actually get it? I can't afford hundreds of dollars for a cell phone!

It will never be on a regular cell phone.

What will happen is that we will stop seeing regular cell phones and start seeing nothing buy java app driven smart phones.

Do the cell phones actually have an internal magnetic compass? If so, will the magnets in cell phone belt holsters hurt them? Do the holster magnets have any other ill affects on cell phones?

I believe there is an actual magnetic compass inside of the iPhone. I have a pouch for my iPhone that has a magnet and it has never damaged any of my iPhones (3G, 3GS, and 4).
