I didn't have my first cellphone until I was about halfway through 8th grade, but that was like.... 8 years ago when all this started happening...

I mean as long as you are old enough to be responsible with it. Keep in mind your parents are paying the bills, you aren't. It's a whole new world when that bill lands in your lap and you have to start having to pay it.

  2. well it really depends on when you start to need one, not just because it's cool or yet another way to chat with your friends. i don't live somewhere where i can just walk to a movie theater or the mall to hang out with my friends, so having a cell phone is really important so that i can call my parents to tell them when to come pick me up. i'm in high school now but i got one at the beginning of the sixth grade, as did most of the other kids in my grade. hope this helps! :]

  3. i got mine at the end of 6th grade because in middle school you start to have more of a social life and need to keep in contact with your parents because you tend to do things alone (without a parent following you everywhere)

  4. I think beginning of Middle School. That's when parents leave their kids to do their own thing, and just to be safe. Unless you really need it.
