Some cell phones are said to have less radiation than others. Does the provider has something to do with that?

It is true, sort of, that phones will screw with your brain.
If you TALK on a cell phone a lot before age 20, you're something like 423% more likely than normal to get a brain tumor later on.
Texting, using the Internet or apps, those are OK. Talking on the phone puts the speaker right up to your earhole which isn't that far from your brain.
The speakers emit microwaves that sort of cook your brain. :/
Limiting your talking on your cell is good regardless of age. Not much information is available.
The carrier has no influence on the amount of microwaves emitted. Real non-phone-funded studies have found what I said above to be true. Some studies say that the amount does vary by carrier, but those are the ones funded by cell phone companies. ;D
