The female 17mm ball connector is an "industry standard", allowing any mounting solution designed for Garmin to work with the iBOLT Dock as an alternative to the included suction mount.

ONE cable, ONE connection point from car-dock for charging AND aux-audio out to car-stereo speakers! The innovative 9 ft (2.7 meter) cable plugs into the back of the xProDock. The other end of cable splits into a standard USB male connector and a 3.5 mm male aux connector (plug in to the car-stereo "line in/aux" port). Sound from all Music and GPS applications etc can now be heard through the car-stereo speakers! Sound from phone calls can NOT be transmitted to car-speakers through iBOLT cable due to Samsung firmware design. A separate Bluetooth hands-free solution is therefore a must for in-and outgoing calls.
