Im looking at unlocked cell phones and i wanted to know if i can get it hooked up to cricket.

Most "unlocked" phones are GSM devices, which won't work on Cricket. If you can find an "unlocked" CDMA device and have some way of getting settings onto it, then yeah, you can use an unlocked CDMA device on Cricket.
