Why not just take your phone and buy a sim card they are really cheap or even a starter pack from one of the service providers. I'm sure that would be cheaper than renting, unless your phone is locked...

I wouldn't recommend renting one at the airport because criminals have, unfortunately, been known to target people who do that.
