Why so many cell phone questions in the Land Line category?

Question by Desert Dust: Why so many cell phone questions in the Land Line category?
Why is it that so many cell phones users post questions in the LAND LINE category, but Land Line users do not seem post questions in the CELL PHONES AND PLANS category. Can cell users not understand the term Land Line Phone? Can they not read? Would someone explain this to me.

  1. I have a feeling land lines will be used in business situations only in the near future.

More and more people are electing to have a cell phone only.

  2. because the people asking those questions are complete idiots.. have you read any of the questions that they ask? most of them can not form a question that makes any sense, or use TXT abbreviations to write questions...

i recommend that we all start reporting these questions - as they are a violation of the guidelines for being miscategorized - since they report us for telling them that this is the LAND PHONE section and that they should ask their questions in the CELL PHONE section...

  3. i couldn't agree more with joe's answer. There are a lot of ignorant people who ask question here.

I really like his suggestion of reporting the questions as abuse. As a user reports abuse, and is found to be trustworthy in his/her reporting, his/her status as a reporter goes up. When that happens, one report of abuse will result in that question or answer being deleted.
