How do you do a three way call with cell phones?

Question by Jennifer: How do you do a three way call with cell phones?
I'm not sure if that is still possible throughout cell phones if it is I need help to understand how to. :/

call person A.... person A answers.... put A on hold... call person B... person B answer... hit merge or combine or join or whatever button your OS cell phone you has

  2. Hmmm....depends on the cell phone you are using. For the IPhone you make a call, place the person you just called on hold and then select the 'add call' button.

    For the Droid cell phone. Make a call and after reaching them select Menu and click 'add call'.
